Dr. Silverberg was born in St. Louis, Missouri. His special interests include lung cancer, colorectal cancer and breast cancer. He was the first Medical Director of the Methodist Hospice Program, former board member of Josie Harper Hospice House and has received many “Meaning of Care” awards demonstrating his compassion and understanding for his patients. He also actively participates in teaching at Creighton and UNMC.

Dr. Silverberg and his wife, Jan, have one son and one daughter. He enjoys golf, old movies and reading biographies.
