Being told you have cancer is a major shock to the system. First you have to question what you thought you heard…..oh you said cancer and then your mind goes blank. You can’t think of a single question and if you did would you understand the answer? The whole team starting with the staff setting your appointment, the nurses, lab techs and my doctor, Dr. Block. I had confidence in the treatment because of the confidence I had to each and every team member I had contact with. Their knowledge of the drugs, how they may effect me. They walked with me through the treatments. I could go on, but most of all was the support and confidence. I felt safe even though I knew there were no guarantees.
