About Nagendra Natarajan MD, MPH
Upon completing my medical schooling in India, I enrolled in the Masters in Public Health Program – majoring in public health education at Western Kentucky University. This program taught me the importance of patient education and the need for research to manage complex diseases effectively, especially cancer. I continued to build on this knowledge during my internal medicine/pediatrics residency training at Creighton University, and my hematology and medical oncology fellowship training at the University of Louisville, Kentucky.

- The people Of the Cancer Section, Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha Cancer Section took my case in even though I had just been examined with less than a year to live. Through their care and attention, today I am cancer free. The nurses, doctors and staff have been absolutely fantstic and I owe my life to their care.

- Dr Natarajan is the most compassionate and skilled oncologist I have been to. I have literally been to nearly all the oncologists in the Omaha/Lincoln area and he is by FAR the best of them.

- Every visit I have had in the last 3 years, in the diagnosis of my cancer and the treatment of my cancer has been excellent. All personnel from nurses, clinicians, doctors and support staff, have been so pleasant and professional. - My Dr. had ordered CT of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. For unknown reason, the chest scan was omitted, so I have to come back to have that done. My CT report stated that my gall bladder was surgically absent. I have never had my gall bladder removed. These are serious problems. Dr. Natarajan and his staff are wonderful, as are most of the staff who took care of me during my imaging procedures. I think these lapses should be investigated. They are serious and should not happen again to me or anyone else.

- I am so grateful for the care I have received at NCS. From the very beginning of my diagnosis, my care plan has been excellent. Appointments were made quickly, cooperation of care between the hospital and cancer center was seamless. We have friends who have had treatment in other facilities and their care was complicated and confusing, which delayed treatment. NCS provides outstanding, professional, and personalized treatment. I thank all the personnel from the reception desk, to the lab, to the infusion center, to my doctor for their dedication to each patient.

- I have had horrific experiences with numerous doctors in other practices, so I am about as jaded as any patient can get... the invalidation, the egos, feeling like you are nothing more than a number, not even a human being...it's been terrible. But THIS is how medicine is supposed to be practiced. Dr. Natarajan is what a doctor is SUPPSOSED to be like. I don't want him to take any time away from us patients, but Dr. Natarajan could teach a course in how a physician should run a practice. It's good for the patient, good for the doctor, and I have doubt, good for the bottom line of the practice, financially speaking too. I feel supported here.

- From reception area to medical examination room was top notch! Caring and helpful staff. Pam - nurse advocate was instrumental in keeping both my husband and myself calm by taking notes for us. Dr. Natajaran was friendly and explained my situation very clearly. My future tests were set up before leaving. - Currently, I'm dealing with a family member who has Parkinson''s and I have been her primary care provider for five years. Since January, other medical issues have impacted her. In the last two weeks, she has been taken to the ER, spent 10 days in the hospital and placed last Monday at a long term care facility. That alone has been stressful. To add to this adjustment, she did not receive her Parkinson's medications on a timely/routine basis. Yesterday, we thought all of that had been corrected until today. I have to say the NCS nurses listened and acted to help me get assistance with this stressful transition. I am so grateful for their help and guidance.
