About Kathleen McKillip MD, FAAP

Kathleen McKillip, MD, FAAP a Nebraska native, is a board certified internist, pediatrician, and palliative specialist. She trained at both Creighton University and Nebraska Medicine and completed her fellowship at UAB, a national Palliative Care Leadership Center. Dr. McKillip describes palliative care as a “strategic planning support team” for patients facing and living with every stage of complex illness. She takes an individualized approach to navigating the illness experience with her patients and colleagues. She is a published author and poet and strongly believes in the impact of the humanities on experiencing health, illness, and well being.

She enjoys playing piano, photography, gardening, and spending time outdoors with her spouse, two children, and 70 lb. lap dog.
