About Robert Langdon, Jr. MD, FACP
Originally from O’Neill Nebraska, Dr. Langdon grew up in Omaha and graduated from Creighton Prep high school. He completed his residency and fellowship in Iowa, and moved his family back to Omaha where he co-founded Nebraska Cancer Specialists alongside Dr. Margaret Block in 1992. Throughout his years of experience, Dr. Langdon has served on many boards in the community and has been a part of various organizations, currently serving as the Assistant Medical Director of Research at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. When Dr. Langdon is not in clinic he enjoys spending time with his wife Mary Jo, 6 children, and 11 grandchildren, golfing in western Nebraska and vacationing in Palm Springs, CA.

- Dr. Langdon always listens first, really looks at information from before; then he advises. The nurses, receptionist, and techs respond quickly to the patients. The telephone is answered!!

- This is my second go around with NCS, in particular Dr. Langdon and his nurse. I have noticed one other nurse who is still there in the chemo room. Even with the new staff, and those down in the lab room, even too at the check in on 1st floor all have, well I just can't find the right word for everyone being most helpful and friendly each time I come for evaluation and treatment. Too be sure, there are other treatment centers in the Omaha and Lincoln area, but I choose to come from Seward Nebraska about a 120 mile trip one way to NCS. So, if I run across anyone who might need to seek cancer treatment, I whole heartily recommend NCS in Omaha.

- This is not an issue for me most of the time. On very busy days it can be little awkward to get the attention of your assigned nurse or any nurse. I see how busy they are, sometimes they are busy with patients at the opposite far end of the room. I’m not comfortable calling for a nurse out loud. Please don’t get the impression that I feel neglected because I don’t. Sometimes needs just arrive unexpectedly, especially for Whipple pts. Thanks
- When going through the notebook, there was so much to be covered that my attention span got lost. The PA did an excellent job of doing, but I was still trying to grasp what I was going to have to go through and with so many words and important things to cover, I could have taken it home and read through it at my convenience. I understand this is her job but too many words.
