Early detection doesn’t just change outcomes,

it saves lives.

As a firefighter, you could be at an increased risk of developing cancer due to repeated exposure to smoke, chemicals, and other hazardous materials encountered in the line of duty. That’s why at Nebraska Cancer Specialists we are committed to providing preventative, specialized screenings designed to identify concerns as early as possible. These screenings are part of our ongoing dedication to protecting the health of those who dedicate their lives to protecting others.

We are pleased to offer firefighters in Omaha and Bennington Nebraska access to the following services.

Lung Cancer Screening

A quick, non-invasive low-dose CT scan that takes about five minutes and requires no needles, prep, or downtime. It’s designed to detect lung cancer at its earliest and most treatable stages, often before symptoms appear.  Because firefighters face increased exposure to smoke, chemicals, and airborne toxins, this simple scan can be a critical step in protecting your long-term health.

Skin Cancer Screening

A professional visual skin exam to look for unusual spots, or changes that could be early signs of skin cancer. It also gives you the opportunity to ask about any areas of concern.  Regular skin checks are an important step for cancer prevention.

Nebraska Cancer Specialists offers complimentary preventative screenings

Exclusively for Firefighters.
