Free Lung Screening

Lung screenings can detect the possibility for cancer and lung disease at an early stage, when it’s most treatable.

Our lung screening program provides a comprehensive, personalized experience for patients combining a low-dose CT scan of the lungs along with detailed plan outlined by a certified lung health navigator.

NCS CT Technicians will perform free lung screenings on November 7th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and November 9th from 9:00am to 12:00pm at the Midwest Cancer Center located in Legacy. Each 10 minute screening appointment includes a chest CT scan with a low dose CT scanner. Scan results will be delivered via a certified lung health navigator the day after your scan.

Risk Factors for lung cancer may include:

  • Current smoker or have quit smoking in the past 15 years
  • Have a 20 pack-year smoking history (one pack/day for 20 years, or two packs/day for 10 years)
  • A family history of lung cancer
  • Certain environmental exposures throughout your lifetime such as second hand smoke, asbestos, lead, pesticides and fertilizers
