Margaret Block MD, FACPMedical Degree: Residency: Fellowship: “As an individual whose own family has been touched by cancer, I consider the diagnosis, care and treatment of every patient as carefully as I would a member of my own family. With my primary interests in clinical practice, I understand the importance of providing the most advanced treatment options to my patients.” |
I was born and raised in Queens, NY. After completing medical school at Albany Medical College in upstate New York, I completed a residency and fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, as well as an additional fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, Clinical Cancer Center in Madison, WI.
As an individual whose own family has been touched by cancer, I consider the diagnosis, care and treatment of every patient as carefully as I would a member of my own family. With my primary interests in clinical practice, I understand the importance of providing the most advanced treatment options to my patients.
I have served as a principal investigator for several cancer studies and participate strongly and actively in many research studies to offer exceptional, innovative care for my patients. I am actively involved in charitable organizations surrounding cancer research, as well as professional medical organizations including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
In my spare time, I can be found pursuing my passion for photography, enjoying the outdoors, spending quality time with my family and pets, and supporting local charitable organizations including the Nature Conservancy and the Joslyn Art Museum.
