Margaret Rebensdorf, MSN, APRN-NP

I grew up in Michigan, and graduated in 1981 with a bachelors in nursing from the University of Michigan. Much of my 18-year nursing career was in Detroit, in a large, inner-city teaching hospital. I received a Master’s in Nursing from University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2000. As a nurse practitioner, I spent 6 years working with a large gastroenterology group before joining Nebraska Cancer Specialists in 2007.

I have been very fortunate in having loved every job I’ve ever had. However, working with oncology patients and their families has been the most gratifying in my career. They trust us with their care, and we take that very seriously. We know this is an exceptionally difficult time for them. We form deep bonds with our patients and their families while they are here receiving care.

Also, I have found the physicians at NCS be excellent clinicians who are well-versed in the latest cancer treatments and research; they care deeply about our patients and are committed to helping them fight their cancer. It would be difficult for me to ever imagine working anywhere else.
