NCS employees, volunteers and patients donate holiday dinner bags for cancer patients in need

A cancer diagnosis and treatment can be overwhelming, and especially difficult during the holiday season.  Nebraska Cancer Specialists and the NCS Hope Foundation joined forces to donate over 200 holiday dinner bags to patients and families in need this season.

The dinner bags were donated by employees, volunteers, and patients and contain dry ingredients for making stuffing, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, cornbread, and cranberries.  The NCS HOPE Foundation provided $25 gift certificates to Hy-Vee for the purchase of meat or other additions to the provided meal.

The dinner bags are available at all Omaha and Fremont NCS clinics.  Anyone in need of a holiday dinner is encouraged to stop in to one of the clinics and ask for a bag.  The dinner bags will be available until the end of 2022.  For a list of locations visit NebraskaCancer.com/locations.
