Nebraska Cancer Specialists Announces New Stand-Alone Radiation Oncology Center in West Omaha and Welcomes Dr. Max Chiu
Nebraska Cancer Specialists (NCS) is expanding access to advanced cancer care with the opening of a new, stand-alone radiation oncology center at Midwest Cancer Center – Legacy, scheduled to open in spring 2026. The expansion is further strengthened by the addition of radiation oncologist Dr. Max Chiu to the NCS physician team.
The new center represents the westernmost radiation oncology clinic in the Omaha metro, improving access for patients in west Omaha and
surrounding communities. This location is in addition to where NCS radiation oncologists currently see patients at the Henry Lynch Cancer Center, further enhancing patient choice and convenience.

As a stand-alone clinic, the Midwest Cancer Center – Legacy location is designed to provide a focused, patient-centered experience in a comfortable and accessible setting.
Dr. Max Chiu joins NCS as a board-certified radiation oncologist, bringing expertise in advanced radiation techniques and a strong commitment to patient care. He joins a dedicated team of radiation oncologists and support specialists, including Dr. Hadi Zahra and Dr. Amir Zahra, who collectively provide comprehensive radiation oncology services.
