Outdoor Spring Activities
It’s here, it’s here, it’s FINALLY here! Spring has sprung, the ice and snow are now moisturizing the grass, and it’s time to throw on your spring jacket and get outdoors. Swap your screens for some outdoor spring activities!
Have fun with these 5 spring activities that encourage you to get outdoors:
Decorate your Driveway – grab the sidewalk chalk and let your creativity flow! This is a fun activity that stimulates your creativity and sense of accomplishment. Better yet, invite the kids to help you! You’ll love coming home when the first thing you see is the core memory you made with your kiddos.
Walk the Dog – Fido has been begging all winter to go for a long walk, here is your chance! Leash up and go. Even if you don’t have a dog, a walk outside is not only good for your body but also for your mental health.
Hit the Park – kids and grandkids will love you forever when you spend a day at the park. This outdoor spring activity is twofold: the kids get to be outside with you and burn off a bunch of winter energy and you get to enjoy watching them play.
Clean up the Porch – winter neglect happens, spring-ify your porch! Get a new welcome mat, add a pretty porch pot, make a new door hanger, and sweep off all the leaves.
Ground yourself in Nature – whether it’s laying in the grass, getting your hands dirty planting flowers, or trimming the trees, grounding yourself in nature is healthy.
There you have it. 5 spring-friendly activities to get you outdoors. Your friends here at Nebraska Cancer Specialists wish you a happy, healthy, and joyful season!
